Not all wedding venues photograph equally. Here is our honest photographer's review of the top 10 venues in Delhi for stunning wedding photos.

How Venue Choice Affects Your Wedding Photography

As Delhi NCR's leading wedding photography studio, we have shot at hundreds of venues across the city. One thing we know for certain: the venue dramatically affects how your wedding photographs look. Poor lighting, ugly backdrops, and cramped spaces can sabotage even the most skilled photographer's work.

This is our honest, photographer-focused review of Delhi's top 10 wedding venues — based on real experience, not sponsored content.

Tier 1: Exceptional Photography Venues

1. The Leela Palace, New Delhi — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The gold standard of Delhi wedding venues. The European baroque architecture, grand staircases, and manicured gardens create natural shooting environments that require minimal creative intervention. The lighting in the main ballroom is professional-grade. Every shot here looks like a cover of Vogue India.

Best for: Luxury reception shoots, bridal portraits, family formals

2. ITC Maurya — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Maurya's iconic circular architecture and the Bukhara-adjacent courtyard offer unique photographic opportunities. The heritage suites provide extraordinary bridal getting-ready shots with rich wooden tones and soft window light.

3. Taj Palace Hotel — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Classic, timeless, and consistently excellent for photography. The poolside venue and the gardens are particularly stunning for sunset portraits.

Tier 2: Very Good Photography Venues

4. Sunder Nursery (Near Humayun's Tomb) — ⭐⭐⭐⭐½

This is our personal favourite for pre-wedding shoots and intimate wedding ceremonies. The Mughal-era structures, lush gardens, and golden evening light create photographs that look absolutely extraordinary. Highly recommended for couples who want heritage aesthetics without a conventional banquet.

5. Qutub Terrace, New Delhi — ⭐⭐⭐⭐½

The only venue in Delhi where you can have the Qutub Minar as your direct backdrop. Sunset photography here is simply unmatchable.

6. Chattarpur Farmhouses — ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Delhi's farmhouse belt offers greenery, wide open spaces, and the flexibility to set up elaborate lighting rigs. The best options are: Dar-ul-Aman, Ansal's Farmhouse, and Rajnigandha Farms. Ideal for large Indian weddings with 500+ guests.

Tier 3: Good but Require Creative Work

7. Radisson Blu Dwarka — ⭐⭐⭐½

Modern and clean, but lacks character. Best used for reception photography with custom decoration. The rooftop offers decent city skyline shots.

8. Maidens Hotel, Civil Lines — ⭐⭐⭐⭐

A hidden gem. This 1903-era colonial hotel has extraordinary architectural details — arched corridors, vintage columns, and a garden that photographs beautifully in both day and evening light.
